      Roster news watch

Every 20 minutes the beat feeds and ESPN headlines are matched to my players and their NFL teams, classified, and kept as a 14 day timeline. High severity news on a starter starts a lineup run and sends an alert; on a bench player it sends an alert and flags the player for the next waiver review.

        News

          Schedule lookahead (next three weeks)

Known weeks ahead from the NFL schedule: opponent, that defense's rank in points allowed to each position (1 = softest, 32 = toughest), venue, and travel. The agent sees this on every player line. Weather, lines, and injuries for future weeks are not known and not shown.

          Steal list

Players who are free agents in my league but rostered in the other seven CSG leagues, ranked by how many teams start them and how strong those teams are. The waiver scout sees this list every run.

          Standings, all leagues

Weekly top score across every league

The highest score posted anywhere in CSG that week, and which league it came from. This is the $10 target.

          Super Bowl qualifying, reconstructed

Records through week 12, auto-bids (top two per league), and the points-for wildcard order among everyone else. Highlighted rows are managers who are in my league this year.

          Season simulation

5,000 Monte Carlo seasons over the remaining schedule of all eight leagues: odds of the auto-bid, the points-for wildcard, the league playoffs, and the Super Bowl. The sensitivity line says what three extra points a week would buy.

          Commissioner updates

Parsed from emails forwarded to csgff@ottjott.com: Super Bowl bracket, my opponent, rule changes, deadlines.

          CSG Super Bowl race

Cross-league: after week 12 the top 2 by record in each of the 8 leagues auto qualify, then 8 wildcards by total points for. Other league ids are set in Settings; leagues the cookies cannot read are skipped and the cutline is marked partial.

          Manager profiles

Built from the league activity feed. Openness is the agent's estimate of how likely a manager is to accept a fair trade. Trade proposals are aimed at the top of this list.

          Trade negotiations

Every offer the agent has sent, with its status and revision history. Rejected and countered offers get one revised offer per weekly run.

          Self-grading

Graded after each completed week: lineup efficiency, whether adds beat projection, drops that came back to bite, and trade net points. The agent reads these notes and adjusts.

The draft assistant is not installed in this build.

Ask the agent anything about your league. It answers with your live rosters, the free agent pool, and the schedule in front of it.

Start here. Enter your ESPN league ID and, for a private league, the espn_s2 and SWID cookies from a logged-in browser.

          Autopilot

Real moves only happen when dry run is off. Leave it on until the first lineup write has been checked against your roster.

Kickoff checks are scheduled automatically 75 minutes before each game that has one of your players in it.

          Bedrock escalation

At the cap Bedrock switches off for this program, tiers and failover alike, and both Sparks handle everything. You get an alert at 80% and at the cap. Spend is estimated from tokens on every call and reconciled with AWS billing daily at 04:00.

Needs AWS credentials in the container environment (AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID and AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY) with bedrock:InvokeModel on the model.

          League rules (CSG 2026)

ESPN ids of the other seven CSG leagues, for the cross-league Super Bowl race and the weekly top score chase. Leave blank until you have them from the commissioner.

Past CSG league-seasons. Their weekly scores calibrate the expected 80-team top score, the wildcard points-for pace, and the simulator's scoring spread.

          Data sources

Optional. Free tier at the-odds-api.com covers a weekly props pull. Lines, weather, altitude, injuries, news, usage, and trending need no key.

          Weekly recap delivery

The Tuesday recap grades last week, writes a trash-talk report for the league, and sends it on every channel turned on here. All channels are optional.

Email and SMS use the same AWS credentials as Bedrock and need ses:SendEmail and sns:Publish. While the SNS account is sandboxed, only verified numbers receive texts. The webhook needs nothing.
